Watch Neil Young & Jack White Perform and press a vinyl record on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon

After announcing his ultra-high fidelity music service and personal audio device Pono, Neil Young seems to be going in the complete opposite direction with a performance that will be recorded and pressed directly to vinyl tonight on Fallon.

Young will be joined by Jack White, the musician and founder/creative ringleader of Third Man Records. The instant recording-to-vinyl process sounds very similar to the one behind the 1947 Voice-o-Graph vinyl recording booth at Third Man's home in Nashville. Young recently recorded his entire new album inside this thing, so the odds of seeing two grown men singing to each other inside of a box will be pretty good.

If that's not reason enough to watch, Louis C.K. will also be a guest on tonight's show, which airs at 11:34 p.m. EST on NBC.

Neil Young's latest, a collection of covers, A Letter Home, was originally released with a limited vinyl run on Record Store Day back in April. It includes covers of songs by Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Bruce Springsteen and more. A Letter Home will be re-released on on May 27 on CD and offered in a deluxe package. The package includes two vinyl records, a CD, a download card and a making-of DVD.
