The warmth is slowly creeping back into our days. The mild days will soon give way to scorching heat. While you're outside partaking in activities, your Weekly Tune-Up is always a great partner. You can take it anywhere and it won't complain how many times you hit repeat. Be sure to hit that follow button while on the Spotify page. Let's see what's got me buzzing on this week's mixtape.

Minus The Bear is back! After a five year hiatus the Seattle indie rockers have given us VOIDS, their sixth proper LP. Known for their guitar riffs, mid-tempo grooves and prog-rock influences, Minus The Bear have brought all of those sounds from their previous albums and hit blend on VOIDS. MTB are always good for at least one slow jam rocker per album, and "Erase" falls right in line; meanwhile frontman Jake Snider's vocals are as smooth and rangy as ever.

London-based Bearcubs (Jack Ritchie) have kept hype around by releasing some impressive tunes one at a time, and now we have Underwaterfall, his latest EP. "False Mirrors" is my favorite track of the four from the EP. Ghostly vocals surround electronic pulses and thumping bass lines. Ritchie has put together one sexy package. I will be looking forward to his future releases.

Let's be honest, Canadians know how to create music and have been doing so for some time now. Young Galaxy being from Montreal are part of that talent pool from our northern neighbors. I've been a longtime fan of Young Galaxy and always have an eye out for new material, since they release one of singles from time to time. "Stay For Real" is their new tune and appears to be more serious this time around with a poignant message. It's your typical Young Galaxy with splashes of dreamy disco wooziness and the airy vocals from Catherine McCandless. Keep doing your thing, YG.
