The Chicago indie-rock band's Bay area show arrives nearly a year after the release of its latest album, Cruel Country, where Wilco sprawls out on a 21-track, 80-minute meditation on the U.S.' tumultuous last few years.
The appearance at Ruth Eckerd Hall—where Wilco played in 2010—also has a cool local angle since guitarist Nels Cline routinely plays guitars made by locally-based luthier James LeClair.
