Tropical Heatwave, WMNF's beloved multi-venue music fest, will return to Ybor City with a big ol' assortment of musical acts headed up by the always fun, Ybor-fond indie rock outfit The Hold Steady; Austin-bred Tampa favorites The Bright Light Social Hour; Florida's own hard-buzzing, fast-rising Roadkill Ghost Choir; and many more.

Set to take place on Friday and Saturday, May 9-10, the 33rd iteration of the festival will invade more than a handful of Ybor stages within and around its central location at The Cuban Club. (Full lineup of confirmed talent and ticket info after the jump.)

Known for its eclectic assortment of musical talent — style-, region-, and notoriety-wise — Tropical Heatwave 2014 will stick to its longstanding reputation with a bill that also includes Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Joseph Arthur, beard-y roots rock outfit The David Mayfield Parade, Houston-based Americana act Hayes Carll, New Zealand reggae troupe Katchafire, Brooklyn's Black Taxi and scores more, with additional acts TBA in the coming weeks.
