Yacht-rock hero Christopher Cross sails into Clearwater on Tuesday

It's his second time in Tampa Bay this year.

Call your yacht-rock loving parents, because the genre’s king is, um, sailing, his soft and groovy sounds into Clearwater for the second time this year on Tuesday, Aug. 16 for a show at the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre.

In March, he appeared at Ruth Eckerd Hall alongside Todd Rundgren and Denny Laine on his second “It Was 50 Years Ago Today” Beatles tribute tour. The Cap has a much smaller capacity, and the 71-year-old—who was temporarily paralyzed after a pre-vaxx bout with COVID—shouldn’t have a problem selling it out.
