Ybor City’s Crowbar has freak-folk spaceman Bob Log III for a free Tampa show

Beer Garden Sessions delivers a wonderfully weird one.

A true American original, the mysterious Bob Log III combines “old, weird America” tools and sound with a Space Age image for a show that’s utterly unlike anything else you will experience. The juxtapositions are jarring: Silvertone and slide guitar meet Star Wars-esque headgear; cosmic pyrotechnics meet mutant Appalachian songforms; spectacle meets the classics in a wood chipper. What’s more is that a free show as part of Crowbar’s Beer Garden Sessions makes it a no-brainer.

Beer Garden Sessions w/Bob Log III. Wed. Oct. 17, 7 p.m. No cover. Crowbar, 1812 N. 17th St., Ybor City. INFO.
