Knoxville “spaced-out emo punk” group Rough Dreams (“Cursed at the Sun”)has a new single dropping on the same day it helps beloved Bay area promoter Savage Beat throw its first show since February 2020.

Tampa’s Shurwood is also dusting itself for its first show since the onset of the pandemic, which is great because the band’s excellent December 2019 album Changing Face never got to meet fans face to face enough before coronavirus got here. Speaking of the ‘rona, you gotta show a vaccination card if you want to enter the reduced-capacity show unmasked. So if you’re not vaxxed, for some reason, be prepared to wear a mask, and if you don’t have one, one will be provided (honestly you should wear a mask anyway).

Rough Dreams w/Kid You Not/Low Season/Shurwood . Friday, Aug. 6, 8:30 p.m. Free. Lucky You Tattoo, St. Petersburg. INFO
