This adorable cat vacationing in Tampa will catch a flight home to Michigan

GoFundMe donations made it happen.

An adorable Michigan cat named Daisy Duck Bandit has found himself quite a long way from home. According to the GoFundMe campaign created by his family Jan. 3, the kitty took a little trip to Tampa without their knowledge.

Daisy went missing not long before Halloween. But the fam wasn’t sure of his whereabouts until someone brought him to emergency vet hospital BluePear here in town.

“According to Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners, Daisy followed a woman home in Tampa, Florida. She brought him into their office,” reads the page on GoFundMe. “Since our cat has a microchip they identified him and called us.

“Over the last three weeks we tried to find friends and relatives who may have been in that area and able to bring Daisy home. We were unsuccessful. Our only option is to have him flown home in cargo.”

Luckily, the campaign exceeded its $500 goal in three days. Donations, which reached $545 at the time of publication, will go toward the purchase of a plane ticket and special crate, ensuring Daisy’s safe return to the Wolverine State.

His family has also promised to get Bamboo Pet Sitting to drive him to the airport.
