The results are in, and Tampa has been named the 5th best city for St. Paddy’s Day celebrations by WalletHub. On a scale of 1-100 (1 being best and 100 being the average), her’s how our numbers break down:

We came in at a staggering 77th place for percentage of Irish population, 28th in access to bars and 16th for weather forecast for the luckiest day of the year.

Now to where we shine, party animals. Here are the sections where we redeem ourselves — 10th for themed parties and festivals per capita and 8th in average price of a party ticket for St. Paddy’s Day party tickets.

The real kicker? We came in FIRST PLACE for Irish pubs & restaurants per capita.

Seems that we just can’t get enough of pubs in the area.

Overall, it is estimated that there will be an 819 percent increase of Guinness consumption and over $5.6 billion dollars spent on St. Patrick’s Day nationally.

Do your part, drink green beer and keep those parties coming — first place is in our grasp!
