Justice Carlos Muñiz had no judicial experience when he was appointed to the Supreme Court by Governor Ron DeSantis last year. Prior to his appointment, Muñiz served as the chief of staff to former Attorney General Pam Bondi, and more recently served as general counsel to the Trump administration in the Department of Education alongside enemy-of-public-education Betsy DeVos. Should someone who’s been complicit in state and federal corruption be retained in Florida’s highest court? It’s a no from us.
