A Florida home on the banks of arguably one of the most touristy rivers in the Tampa Bay area is now on the market.
Located at 6194 Bear Trl., the home was built in 1974 and sits directly on the crystal clear, manatee-loving Weeki Wachee River.
The property features a 2,160 square-foot main house, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It also comes with a separate 500-square-foot guest house above the garage, as well as a private dock and a covered boat house.
Weeki Wachee Springs is classified as a first-magnitude spring pumping out about 117 million gallons of 72-74-degree water every single day, so it goes without saying that the location is really what’s for sale here, since there aren’t a lot of homes directly on this small stretch of the blue ribbon.
The house is also just slightly upstream from Roger’s Park, and only a few paddles down from the intensely popular Weeki Wachee Springs State Park.
The home is currently used as a vacation rental, going for about $500 per night. According to property records, the home was last sold in 2017 for $399,000. The current asking price is $1,897,000, and the listing agent is John Nock of Coldwell Banker Premier Properties.
