Okay, back to the news. Rick Scott is scheduled to announce his running mate today, and all news agencies in the state are reporting it will be Jacksonville House Republican Jennifer Carroll. Two weeks ago Alex Sink named former legislator Rod Smith. We ask: why are there Lieutenant Governors at all in Florida?, or are you going to stick up for the Jeff Kottkamp era?
Bud Chiles, who only got into the race as an independent in June, is dropping out on the 2nd day of September. Thanks for the memories, Bud!
And we look forward to hearing Rick Scott's response to the news that the number of illegal immigrants in Florida and across the country is dropping.
