Over the weekend while he was addressing the CPAC conference in Washington, right-wing blogger Andrew Breitbart was served with a lawsuit by Shirley Sherrod, the former Agriculture Department employee who lost her job last year over a video that Brietbart posted at his site biggovernment.com.

You'll remember that the video was edited so that it appeared that Sherrod, who is black, was confessing she had discriminated against a farmer because he was white. In the suit, which was filed in Washington on Saturday, Sherrod says the video has damaged her reputation and prevented her from continuing her work.

You'll recall that the White House hardly covered themselves with honor in the debacle, with an aide to Ag. Secretary Tom Vilsack calling Sherrod and telling her to text in her resignation because the video was slated to air on Glenn Beck's program.

When the full, 43-minute version of the video was seen, Sherrod was vindicated, as it showed that she had actually saved the white man's farm, and started a lifelong friendship with him.  She refused entreaties to get her job back with the Obama administration.

Sadly, Breitbart has never shown any contrition whatsoever in the whole incident.  CL readers may recall we infiltrated a meeting that Breitbart held in August in Tampa, in which he barely discussed the incident, and then only casually making light of the whole thing.

Here's some footage of Breitbart at CPAC (unfortunately it does not include him being served by Sherrod).
