Last week two of the four recent additions to the Florida Supreme Court were up for a retention vote, and though retained, received some of the lowest support from Floridians since they've had the opportunity to weigh in on what they think of the Justices.
Alex Sink's boasts that she received endorsements from every major paper in Florida ultimately didn't aid her, nor did her criticisms that Rick Scott blew off even deigning to meet with said editorial writers. And he wasn't the only Republican in a big state running for governor to successfully utilize such a strategy.
And political writers are already assessing Bill Nelson's chances for re-election in 2012. As the only state wide elected Democrat standing, I guess it's never too early to start reviewing his chances.
