Aquarium Scare

Holiday Friday, October 26

Party with the fishes this Halloween season at the Florida Aquarium while raising funds for its marine science education program. For adults, the 10th annual Nauti-Night Costume Bash invites guests to don their best disguises and vie for a $1,000 cash prize for "Most Original Costume." The price of admission includes live entertainment, steak and shrimp skewers from Polo Tropical, beer, wine and other beverages (no jail-bait, please; this is a 21-and-up event). The younger set can safely trick-o-treat at Guppyween and see the Aquarium transformed into a haunted mansion with more than 20 trick-or-treat stations scattered throughout the exhibits and Explore-A-Shore, the outdoor children's play pavilion. Nauti-Night, Fri., Oct. 26, 8 p.m.-midnight, $50 general in advance/$60 day of/$45 Aquarium members, and Guppyween, Sun., Oct. 28, 4-9 p.m., $12 ages 12 and over (kids in costume enter for free), The Florida Aquarium, 701 Channelside Drive, Tampa, 813-273-4000, flaquarium.org.
