Shake off that turkey-induced lethargy and round up family and friends for a visit to Tampa glass artist Susan Gott’s annual post-Thanksgiving open house. Through Sunday, take a peek inside the furnaces of Phoenix Glass Studio in Seminole Heights, where Gott and her assistants blow and cast molten glass into colorful, ethereal forms. The fiery fun starts Friday, when Gott and collaborator Rick Sgrillo, a Lakeland-based blacksmith, exhibit their latest co-creations — 15-foot-tall sculptural plant forms made of aluminum and glass — along with a hot glass demonstration. The free showcase should leave you with enough pocket change to think about picking up a piece to take home. Holiday Glass Show: Glass Work by Gott & Sgrillo, Fri., Nov. 28, 10 a.m.-9 p.m., with an opening reception and hot glass demos from 6 to 9 p.m., and Nov. 29-30, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.Sat.-Sun., Phoenix Glass Studio and Gallery, 811 E.
