Eckerd College recently unveiled an exhibit on loan from the Museum of Fine Arts. In Kent Bicentennial Portfolio: Spirit of Independence, a roster of artists — Will Barnet, Colleen Browning, Audrey Flack, Red Grooms and Jacob Lawrence, among others — honored America's 1976 bicentennial with visual answers to the query, "What does independence mean to you?" Through Oct. 17, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Mon.-Fri., noon-5 p.m. Sat.-Sun., Armacost Library at Eckerd College, 4200 54th Ave. S., St. Petersburg, free admission.
