Susan Andrews and Caroyn Fellman are the Oiseaux Sisters, siblings who work together on fashion works that incorporate humor, movement and metaphor with paper, tin, clay, cloth, carved and painted wood, and an array of found objects. "Oiseaux" means "bird," because the pair spends summers in New York and migrates south to enjoy winters in their sunny Gulfport studio. The Oiseaux Sisters are currently featured in a show at The Studio@620. If I Were Going: Apparatus for a Border Crossing is an installation of objects and images that tell stories of travels and travelers "exploring the borders of possibility in this time of upheaval and delight." Artists Robert King, Laura Green and the Shadow Pixies have also contributed to this creative investigation. The studio hosts shadow plays, artist meet-and-greets, fortune tellers and plenty else from 7 to 11 p.m. during this evening's First Night festivities. *For a complete list of other First Night happenings, click here. The works are on display through Jan. 12, The Studio@620, 620 First St. St., St. Petersburg, free admission, 727-895-6620, thestudioat620.com.
