Given the current climate of fractured politics and international tensions, you could be forgiven for thinking that there's precious little "common ground" or "coexistence" on tap among humankind these days. Art, as always, steps in to suggest that things could be otherwise. Packed with works that interpret the two intertwined themes in photographs, paintings, drawings and more, The Juried Show "common ground — coexist" offers a platform for talent from the Bay area and beyond. Judged by Bleu Acier owner and master printmaker Erika Greenberg-Schneider and Salvador Dalí Museum curator William Jeffett, the show marks the first exhibit jointly produced by Central Art Supply Company and The [email protected] Winning artists share a total of $1,750 in cash, art supplies and other goodies; the top three will also enjoy a separate group show at The Studio.
