Good Monday morning everyone.
As the quickly unfolding events occur in Egypt, about 100 people, many Egyptian-Americans who reside in the Tampa Bay area, took to the streets to show their support for those rebelling in the Middle East - and CL was the only print reporter covering it.
By far the best coverage of the events overseas yesterday on broadcast news came from Christiane Amanpour on ABC.
The other interesting news on the talk show circuit were the Congressional Republican leaders discussing who will take the bold move in seriously talking about reforming Medicare and Social Security, where all the money is - themselves, or President Obama?
And the latest fund-raising numbers in Tampa's municipal elections were released late Friday; Dick Greco has taken the lead over Rose Ferlita in the mayor's race, while Harry Cohen, Seth Nelson, and Tony DeSisto are the big money guys in their respective city council races.
