We finally get a glimpse at what former New York governor Eliot Spitzer was willing to pay $4,000 a night for and jeopardize his political career over. His high class escort, Ashley Dupré, 24, will be featured fully nude in the May issue of Playboy.
"I had a lot of fun doing these pictures," Ashley told Playboy. "You're naked and you're in front of a bunch of guys, good-looking guys, too. Manly men."
While Spitzer reportedly had to pay $4,300 to see Dupré naked at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, you just have to buy a magazine to see Dupré's tanned and sculpted body in an 8-page pictorial.
The sex scandal may have ended Spitzer’s career, but it supercharged Dupre's. While she may not have chosen to be forever known in the public eye as an escort, she is certainly using the image to her advantage, making money legally off of her body and sexual experience. Ashley was recently hired as a relationship columnist for the New York Post.Still, with all this scandal has done for her legitimate career, Dupre regrets her past:
"Some people call me the girl who brought down the governor of New York, but in reality, he brought me down," says Ashley. "I was an escort. As much as I wish I could make that go away, I can't."
This remorse seems at odds with Dupré unapologetic persona. Being known as someone who made $4K a night for sex is a bit different than being arrested multiple times for working the streets for drug money. These high class prostitutes are much more conscious of their choices to work in the industry. They treat their job as a profession. Dupré even wrote an articulate blog to her critics pointing out that being a high class escort is little different than a gold digger who targets rich older men.
I have a feeling this won't be the last we see of Dupré. After all, she is a professional hustler who knows how to get what she wants out of powerful men.
