AWH seeks medical supplies for charitable outreach

Truth be told, our health care facilities are overflowing with ceiling-high excess medical supplies simply gathering dust and adding to land fill waste. By working to alleviate health concerns and economic woes, AWH hunts down overflowing medical storage-units and redistributes the paraphernalia to those whose health care is plagued by overarching lines of division and hierarchy.

Their mission would not be possible without help from the Bay area community. AWH's continues to connect with hospitals and clinics in Tampa Bay in accumulating medical supplies to send overseas and needs continual support from the public sphere.

While their hard work and dedication has paid off in sending 15,000 pounds of supplies to Guatemala and Haiti, they are still in need of many more supplies in working to reduce global health disparities.

There is no small donation; AWH collects everything from examination gloves to X-ray machines.

But more importantly, AWH is in need of increased community awareness through community media streams and in-kind donations of media utilities.

'Tis the seasons to joyfully do unto others and the Advocates for World Health are ready for your support.

AWH is a nonprofit organization that recovers surplus medical supplies from Florida health care providers and, in turn, redistributing them in developing countries that treat under-served populations with limited access to adequate health care services. In effect, decreasing global health disparities and diminishing waste otherwise produced, thus benefiting our environment.
