Barack Obama speaks in Tampa

About 10,000 turned out at George M. Steinbrenner Field (Legends Field) to cheer on Barack Obama.

The candidate arrived on the same day early voting begins in Florida. Obama's camp clearly sees the state as a possible win now, with polls giving a slim, 3-point edge, and they know how the I-4 corridor will likely push the state blue or red.

Five members of the Tampa Bay Rays introduced Obama, including Fernando Perez, Carl Crawford and rookie pitcher David Price.
