While sifting through 64 local burgers for 2008s Burger Tournament, our food critic sent out a plaintive plea for some brief, elegant words to characterize the burger experience. Over 70 entries later, two emerged supreme, both vastly more poetic than almost any burger we tried:
"To spite fork and spoon/ The cow jumped over the moon/ Ruminant eclipse" Ian Blenke
"Poor cow had to die/ So that I might eat dinner/ What is for dessert?" Joe Bardi
