Proving that an intervening body of water is no excuse not to work together, the Tampa Museum of Art and St. Petersburg’s Museum of Fine Arts teamed up to present My Generation: Young Chinese Artists, which runs through Sept. 28. When TMA realized the concept for the exhibition — to feature 27 artists born in China since 1976 — would exceed its available square footage, director Todd Smith (now director of the Orange County Museum of Art in California) reached out to the MFA, and a partnership was born. Bonus: A dual-institution ticket cuts visitors a deal on seeing both museums. tampamuseum.org, fine-arts.org
