The lovable but sarcastic slacker is an archetype of our times, but Tampa actor Jack Holloway — who’s spent most of his time in the local theater scene as artistic director of Hat Trick Theatre Company — rose above the rolling-eyes shtick and stereotypes of Gen X dramedy when he played Myron, a firefighter/drug-dealing prankster in Jobsite’s production of Zach Braff’s All New People. The actor infused his role with charisma, gusto and believable pathos. He effectively revealed the cracks in Myron’s nonchalant veneer and made us laugh out loud throughout the play. Jack Black could stand to learn a thing or two from this seasoned actor.
