Ghostface Killah

Locals experienced an epic Sunday night slaying when Ghostface Killah’s Twelve Reasons to Die tour hit Orpheum on May 19, its only date in Florida. The Wu Tang Clan rapper was joined by album producer/composer/multi-instrumentalist badass Adrian Younge and Younge’s full Venice Dawn band, which also appeared on the album and heated up the stage with a tight, thrilling warm-up set of ass-shaking funk and soul. Ghostface Killah finally made his grand entrance around midnight, delivering his own solo material as well as the odd Wu Tang hit. The drinks were flowing, an upbeat mood prevailed, and the performances kept eyes glued to the stage and bodies moving on the floor all night long. One of the most epic hip-hop shows we’ve had the pleasure of witnessing. theorpheum.com.
