A summer exhibition at the University of South Florida Contemporary Art Museum, Occupying, Building, Thinking: Poetic and Discursive Perspectives on Cuban Contemporary Video Art (1990-2010) was a visual manifestation of the turmoil that plagues modern Cuba. Videos by some of Cuba’s most prominent contemporary artists referenced real-life situations to transcend language and relate to the audience.
