There are few bars that draw a more eclectic crowd than the Tiny Tap Tavern in SoHo. On any given night, it’s a mix of old-timers, restaurant workers (it’s a preferred hangout for the Bern’s crew), pool sharks, college students, hipsters and down-on-their luck types sipping from cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon, 16-oz. Budweiser bottles that cost a mere $2.50, or cheap wine served in a stem-less glass. Stop by during happy hour and you’ll find the regulars watching Jeopardy! and blurting out answers — or offering running commentary during an ancient episode of Bonanza. And don’t forget, like all great dive bars (see The Emerald, above), the Tiny Tap is cash only. 2105 W. Morrison Ave., Tampa, 813-254-4895.
