Best Driving is the New Walking

First Friday Seminole Heights

While the geographic scattering of spaces makes it a not-quite-conventional First Friday, this is easily the most aesthetically exciting art walk in Tampa Bay. The anchors are Tempus Projects and the new house gallery Epoxy, both presenting new fine art each month that’s actually in dialogue with national contemporary movements. The set is rounded out by the Workspace Gallery’s design-anchored shows and the eclectica in Florida Avenue Ales’ Hatchway Gallery, plus still-forming potential at Kirk Ke Wang’s newly-crowdsourced studio space. The galleries are open until 10 p.m. and beverages are on offer, so bring a designated driver. And a map.
