The 8/28 Alliance was formed so that the city would be ready to move forward with the Pier whatever the outcome of the vote. And what did they come up with? A call for more proposals — oh, at least 30 of ‘em! And hey, let’s look at that Lens thing again! Let’s just drag this debate on and on and have another public referendum (or two) until all of Tampa Bay gets so sick and tired of talking about the damn St. Pete Pier that we all come to the same conclusion (see Best Smart Idea for the Pier).
