Best Farewell To A Cinema Sweetheart

Tara Schroeder

Parting is such sweet sorrow, never more so than in the case of Tampa Theatre Director of Marketing Tara Schroeder. Despite thinking that we’d always have Tara, the 20-year mainstay at downtown Tampa’s historic movie palace skipped town mid-September and moved to New Orleans in search of new adventures and to be closer to her Crescent City-dwelling relatives. A godsend to anyone who ever worked behind the scenes with the Tampa Theatre, Tara was both the smiling, public face of the organization and a workhorse who scheduled and promoted an amazing menagerie of film screenings and events. Good luck in the Big Easy, Tara. We trust you’ll have some floor space available for us to crash on when we visit.
