This spring, when the Museum of Fine Arts swanky new wing opened to add 33,000 square feet to the institution, it bore a name much beloved at the museum. Longtime volunteer Hazel Hough, who once spearheaded education efforts at the museum before a staff position existed, can now walk through a new entrance to the MFA into a soaring atrium and elegant galleries built with a generous donation by her husband, William R. Bill Hough, in her name. Mrs. Hough, in turn, celebrated the opening of the wing by donating a video sculpture by Peter Sarkisian to the museum in her husbands honor.
