The beautiful Palladium Theater has been closed since June as the St. Pete landmark undergoes major renovations. The additions include new A/C, upgrades to the electrical system, improved handicapped access and a second building for increased storage and loading capacity. If you’ve ever been to the Palladium for a sold-out summer event, you know that the new A/C is a godsend, and the second building promises to be a welcome addition to the varied performers who grace the venue’s stages. Construction should be wrapped by October, with the grand reopening planned for Oct. 11. You can see jazz, opera, blues, High School Musical and Ron Paul at the Palladium. We welcome its re-opening and look forward to basking in the air-conditioned comfort.
