An evening chowdown at Bodega doesn’t end right unless you’re learning how to bust a move from manager Ed Allen, who came to the area from Connecticut four years ago. Allen’s been working at the downtown St. Pete Cuban joint from the start, and his impromptu salsa lessons are the kinds of quirks exclusive to beloved neighborhood eateries. On the night he overheard us talking about salsaing, he wasted no time teaching us the authentic moves. Allen says he was introduced to the dance in Tampa through friends who travel the world.
