Bradenton pop punk quartet We The Kings have been on an 11-month-long glory run since releasing its self-titled debut album last October on S-Curve (Fountains of Wayne, Joss Stone.) Propelled by constant national touring which has also found the band returning home periodically to venues like the Orpheum, Jannus Landing and the Vans Warped Tour at Vinoy Park in July We the Kings disc of polished hooks and shouted choruses about young love has produced the hit single Check Yes Juliet (Run Baby Run). At press time, the song had reached a very respectable No. 41 on the Billboard Pop 100 Airplay chart. The album has climbed to No. 3 on Billboards Top Heatseekers survey. Not bad for a group whose oldest member, frontman Travis Clark, was only 22 at the time the disc dropped. myspace.com/wethekings
