Gavin Hawk and Ricky Wayne, two of Pinellas’ busiest and most talented theater pros, have been performing in a monthly Sunday After Hours improv showcase in American Stage’s lobby for nearly a decade now. Perhaps, they’re too busy to promote themselves or open their own space, but American Stage and other performing arts venues, please take note: Hawk and Wayne are way overdue for a proper residency and deserve a bigger — heck, a stage would be swell. For now, check out their ingenious new longform show, The Mockumentary, in which they create on the spot a full-length documentary spoofing the conventions of moviemaking.
