The GOP bigwig was riding high as chairman of the all-important Tampa Port Authority when the Tampa Bay Times reported in July that he owned and collected rent at a trailer park where residents lived in squalor. Then everything fell apart for the man who likes being called “Hoe,” and who had just come off beating out A.J. Matthews for the position of Hillsborough County Republican state committeeman. He resigned from both positions in disgrace.
