As unemployment and layoffs soared all over the Sunshine State, lawmakers came up with a novel approach to the scads of perhaps mentally deranged workers whose jobs hung by a thread: Let them bring their firearms to work! After years of intense lobbying by the National Rifle Association, whose commitment to senseless gun-related violence knows no limits, Florida legislators finally passed a law that allows you to keep your gun in your car at work, only a few feet from that annoying co-worker who plays videos on YouTube all day or that boss who gave you a bad evaluation last week. This is necessary, of course, because you never know when a 12-point buck is going to pop his head over your cubicle, requiring you to sprint to your car, unlock it, grab your Winchester Model 70, dash back into the office and track that sucker down. On the upside, though, sales of Corporate Office Tree Stands are up 300 percent!
