Limited edition, artist-designed T-shirts are all the rage right now, and Owl Movement is among the local elite, putting out a series of four to eight T’s every few months. The diversity of cute, quirky and humorous graphics are created by artists and designers from around the world, who base their graphics on an open-ended series of themes like “Lines and Diagrams” or “Future Perfect.” The results are fun and colorful, with titles like Escapo’s “Terror on the Blacktop” (a tableau of kids playing basketball with a huge and hideous monster) and “Meat Me Inside” (a cartoonish glimpse inside the human body by Brazil studio Mopa). Even better, the designs are printed on soft, high-quality fabrics — 100 percent cotton, jersey and tri-blend — that shrink little and fade slowly. And instead of emblazoning each shirt with an Owl Movement logo and scratchy tag, the brand is printed on the inside back of the T, along with its title, the name of the artist, the size and washing instructions. owlmovement.com
