Even vegetarians occasionally need a heaping pile of gut-busting patty between two pieces of bread. For that, they hit the St. Pete Farmers market and stand in the interminable line for one of Gregory Jones killer veggie burgers. Each burger starts out as a paste of beans and peas, but firms almost instantly as it hits the burbling oil in Jones well-seasoned cast iron skillets. When slapped in a bun with lettuce and tomato, the v-burger is sublime, hot, crusty and creamy in equal measure, tasty enough for the most ardent carnivore.
