According to a Fox News Poll of registered Florida voters, former Vice President Joe Biden has a slim lead over President Donald Trump.
The former vice prescient. has about 46% of the support while Trump is pulling roughly 43%. However, Fox News also said Biden’s three-point lead is within the poll’s margin of error, and the 11% of undecided or third-party voters could still place Trump in the lead.
Naturally, Trump’s largest group of supporters are conservatives. He’s also more popular with white voters without a college degree and white voters in general, according to Fox News. But he’s doing worse than 2016 when he won Florida against Hillary Clinton by one point.
Biden’s largest group of supporters include women and Hispanic voters.
Meanwhile, Trump’s overall approval rating in Florida is at 51%, with 47% of surveyed voters disapproving of his performance.
In comparison, only 33% disapproved of Governor Ron DeSantis.
“The discrepancy between the approval number and the vote is telling,” GOP pollster Daron Shaw, who directs the poll with Democrat Chris Anderson, told The Hill. “It suggests some may be OK with what Trump’s doing, but dislike how he handles himself. Those are voters the White House will be targeting over the next six months.”
