Nationally, the huge news in politics were the primary elections held in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Arkansas, Oregon and Arizona. We're deliberately not writing a separate blog post about them today – however, we will spew out the cliches and discuss the results on our podcast, which you can access below here. We will say one thing here: the Marco Rubio folks are reveling in Arlen Specter's loss, and are comparing him for obvious reasons to Charlie Crist. One big difference, however: Specter had never ran in a Democratic primary before, and so his losing in one shouldn't be that surprising when there was a worthy challenger in Joe Sestak.
However in Florida, where Charlie Crist will run as an independent, not a Democrat, all indications that I continue to see are other Democrats going out of their way to talk him up, and disparage their own candidate, Kendrick Meek.
Bill McCollum is starting to feel the heat of the Rick Scott campaign, and his campaign manager called Scott a "fraud" and "embarrassment" last night;
