Hillsborough County Commissioner Brian Blair has made no secret of his support for candidate Brad Swanson in the past, but over the weekend he endorsed Swanson again in recorded telephone calls for registered Republican voters.
Earlier, Blair touted judicial candidate Samantha Ward in a mailing to voters.
That should help you make your voting decisions in at least two races today.
UPDATE: Even worse than Blair getting involved in colleagues' races, it turns out, is the fact that he sits on the Canvassing Board that approves election results this time around, the Times said Wednesday after the election. Not a legal conflict of interest, but surely it gives the wrong appearance to be in charge of certifying elections at the same time you have money on several of the horses.
