Celebrities spread the word on how to help stop the ban on gay scouts

GLAAD outlines four different ways the public can help show the Boy Scouts their support for equality when it comes to sexual orientation. More than a million people have already taken action, urging the Boy Scouts to end its ban on gay scouts and leaders, and now the scouting Board of Directors is preparing to vote on a proposed policy change to end this discrimination.

The Boy Scouts are asking for the public's input on whether to end the ban. To let your voice be heard, contact them any of the following ways:

• Twitter — Write your message of support and include @BoyScouts and the hashtag, #BoyScouts.

• Facebook — Write your message of support on the BSA Facebook page.

• Call — Call the BSA headquarters at 972-580-2330, and a representative will ask if you are for or against changing the policy to end the ban. Say you are FOR the policy change.

• Email — Email BSA officials with your message to end the ban to [email protected]
