Welcome to the official fall season.  Everybody's back to school, college football is back, the NFL is almost here, it's still ridiculously hot and humid, and the general election campaign is officially on.

That's shown in the new television ads by U.S. Senate candidates Kendrick Meek and Charlie Crist, both entertaining and positive.

We hope you enjoyed your Labor Day.  We spent some of it getting hot and sweaty covering Governor Crist showing off his charisma in front of dozens of union members and their families at a Labor Day event in Dover yesterday.

We've got some religious leaders here in Florida filled frankly with a lot of hate.  And the country's favorite military official, General David Petraeus, is informing the pastor up in Gainesville who intends this Saturday to burn Korans that it might not be the best idea out there.

The other religious official were talking about is the Reverend Bill Keller from St. Pete, who was doing his thing in New York City this weekend.  Keller hates Muslims and Mormons, and spent much of his sermon on Sunday bashing Glenn Beck.

And we saw a couple of films this weekend.  George Clooney does Steve McQueen in The American, and Machete is good for some laughs, though not to some anti-illegal immigration advocates.
