Charlie Crist debuts his first TV ad of campaign

Coming off a rough couple of weeks, Charlie Crist's team has finally gone on broadcast television with their first paid campaign ad of the 2014 campaign season. The Florida gubernatorial candidate's ad is called "Sunshine," that touts his record on taxes and education as governor from 2007-2011.
“’Sunshine’ reflects who our campaign is about: Florida’s middle-class families and seniors, whose lives have gotten harder under Rick Scott,” said Crist Campaign Manager Omar Khan. “Charlie Crist understands the stress they’re facing every day - that’s why he’s always fought for them and that’s why he’ll fight for them again as Governor.”

Until today, Rick Scott had spent an estimated $16 million on television ads, while Crist hadn't spent a dollar.
