Los Rumberos have found consistent work in the Sarasota area with their tasteful flamenco-based sound, offering up a mélange of regional styles to crowds at private parties, coffee shops, martini bars, wherever. On Montage, the group hews pretty closely to its live show, with 12 mostly instrumental tunes tackling sounds from Europe, the Middle East and, of course, Latin America. On wax, Los Rumberos don't quite whip up the killer instinct necessary to deliver their selections with the proper fire, but, at the very least, Montage makes for solid background music at a party. And there's nothing wrong with that. 3 stars
