Among the many titles that Bill Clinton has acquired since he left the White House nearly 11 years ago is unofficial chief Democratic party strategist, so it will be interesting to see if his fellow Democrats heed his cautions not to overreact to the adverse economic situation, which many believe is hurting the electoral chances for Barack Obama and other Democrats in 2012.
Appearing on NBC's Meet The Press (one of three Sunday shows the former President appeared on, ostensibly to hype his upcoming Clinton Global Initiative conference beginning this week in New York), Clinton said he disagreed with his former campaign manager James Carville's suggestion last week that Obama should "panic" and start firing members of his economic team.
