Here are the 'Sizzling 16' Breakfast Bowl finalists who are still in the running to be named Tampa Bay's Breakfast Bowl champion.
This competition is heating up, both in the number of votes we're seeing and in the pace of the polls. Round three of voting starts today, Tues., March 22, and ends Thursday, March 24, between 5 and 6 p.m., revealing the Eggscellent 8. On Fri., March 25, the final round of voting will commence, and the Final Four will be named when voting ends on Monday, March 28, between 5 and 6 p.m.
To put a different spin on things this year, the Final Four will then be judged in a taste-a-thon and reviewed by Brian Ries with the help of his Breakfast Club posse.
Probably most surprising in this round was that the fans of some of the smaller, less trendy restaurants without a website or even a Facebook fan page turned out the most votes. You'd think that restaurants who often utilize social media to rally their fans would have swept the brackets (well, they did anyway), but it seems the little guys' tried-and-true fans have really pulled through for them in this competition.
